The Kanes

Raising happy sheep .

Bryan and Isabelle met in 2018. Isabelle had grown up on a farm, raising multiple breeds of wool and meat sheep through 4-H. Bryan was raised in the suburbs, but had always dreamed of a small homestead; raising sheep, gardening, and stewarding the land in Oregon.

With an new member of the family expected in fall of 2024, Bryan and Isabelle decided there was no better time to embark on this dream. Kane Creek Farm was created in 2024 with 16 acres outside of Eugene, Oregon. In addition to their baby, the Kane's raise Gotland sheep, Indian Runner ducks, and grow a small garden.

Isabelle was first acquainted with the Gotland breed in 2017 when she bought 3 high percentage ewes from a reputable breeder. She fell in love with the lustrous wool, hardiness, and kind disposition of Gotlands. The Kane's pride themselves on raising quality multipurpose sheep, consistently improving their flock and adhering to the Swedish standard of Gotlands. Isabelle currently serves as the Vice President of the Gotland Sheep Breeders Association of North America.
